At the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held a meeting on the results of monitoring and studying the work on implementation of the Law «On Education» and the National Program for Training Personnel in schools of Ferghana region. It was attended by deputies, representatives of relevant ministries, organizations and educational institutions, journalists.

On December 4, 2012 at the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber was held a “round table” dedicated to various aspects of improving the quality of textbooks, manuals and printed materials intended for general secondary, secondary special education.

On November 13, 2012 was held a meeting of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber, where the main directions of tax and budget policy and the draft State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2013 were considered. November 2, 2012 Information on the state of preschool education was heard

On November 2, 2012, was held an enlarged meeting of the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, where the information of the Ministry of public education on the state and prospects of improving legal framework of placing children in preschool educational institutions was heard.

October 20, 2012 Application of the state language norms in advertising

On October 18, 2012 at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek was held a “round table” on “Outdoor advertising (signs) and issues of application of norms in advertising of the Law “On the state language”, organized by the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber in cooperation with the National University of Uzbekistan.

On September 28, 2012, at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held a «round table» dedicated to actual issues of further development of legal education and development of legal science.

On July 4, 2012, Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held a conference dedicated to the improvement of legislation on geodesy and cartography.

June 14, 2012 Educating youth in the spirit of patriotism

On June 14, was held a scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the role of professorial-teaching staff and teachers of educational institutions in the patriotic education of youth. It was organized by the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis in cooperation with the ministries of education and higher and secondary education.

May 25, 2012 Improvement of archive business – the requirement of time

On May 25, 2012, was held a meeting of the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on the results of control-analytical work on the study of implementation of the Law “On archive business” by the agency “Uzarkhiv” and in Bukhara region.

On May 2, 2012, was held a “round table” on the study of the work of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov “Uzbekistan on the threshold of independence”, organized by the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the National University of Uzbekistan. On March 16, 2012, a meeting of the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held, where the results of control and analytical activities undertaken on the implementation of the Law “On Education” and the National Program for training cadres in Samarkand region were discussed.

On February 21, Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport organized a “round table” on “Actual issues of improving quality of education in schools of general education and creation of new textbooks”, dedicated to tasks outflowing from the report of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on January 19, 2012, on “2012 will be the year of raising our country to a new stage of development”.
