November 2, 2012 Information on the state of preschool education was heard

On November 2, 2012, was held an enlarged meeting of the Committee on the Issues of Science, Education, Culture and Sport of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, where the information of the Ministry of public education on the state and prospects of improving legal framework of placing children in preschool educational institutions was heard.

October 31, 2012 The environment protection is under the control of deputies
On October 31, 2012, was held a joint meeting of the Committee on the Issues of Ecology and Environment Protection of the Legislative Chamber and the deputy group of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan. An information of the chairman of the State Committee for Nature Protection, the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the Academy of Sciences on implementation of the National strategy and action plan for the conservation of biological diversity, provided in the Program of action for the protection of environment of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2008-2012 was heard.
October 19, 2012 Enlarged committee meeting
On October 19, 2012, was held an enlarged meeting of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, where the results of control and analytical study of the Information Agency “Jahon” and the Department for cultural-humanitarian relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on spreading abroad the objective information on foreign and domestic policy were discussed.
September 5, 2012 Extended meeting of the committee

On September 5, 2012, at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held a “round table” dedicated to the issues of improvement legal framework of attracting private capital to the banking-financial sphere, organized by the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms of the lower house of parliament in cooperation with the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

September 3, 2012 Legislation on elections is improving

On August 29, 2012, at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held a seminar on «International electoral standards and national legislation of Uzbekistan», organized by the Committee on International Affairs and Interparliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber with the Committee on Democratic Institutions, NGOs and Civil Society Institutions. It was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber, members of the Central electoral commission, representatives of political parties, NGOs and the mass media.

August 23, 2012 Meeting at a public fund

On August 17, 2012 at the Public Fund for support of NGOs and other civil society institutions and a Parliamentary commission for administration of the funds under the Oliy Majlis was held a working meeting with the director of global projects department of the Bureau on the issues of democracy, human rights and labor of USA State Department P.Davis.

July 5, 2012 Committee hearing was held

On July 5, 2012 Committee on Democratic Institutions, NGOs and Civil Society Institutions of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held a hearing on the implementation of commitments on labor issues, adopted by the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 101st Session of the International Labor Conference. It was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, NGOs, the mass media, members of the committee expert group.
